MEDA is committed to protecting your privacy. The information you provide is used only for our records to send you receipts and information about MEDA. We will not rent, sell or trade your information to other organizations, parties or mailing lists. Any personal information you provide us while on our web site or in other communications with MEDA will be kept strictly confidential and you can ask at any time to be removed from our mailing list. We make every effort to comply with applicable privacy laws, such as the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We reserve the right to disclose personal information as required  by law in the following situations: regulation, law, subpoena, court order, search warrant, during a legal proceeding, in accordance with a request from a law enforcement agency, to enforce our Terms of Service/site rules, or to protect our visitors' and site's safety and security.

Personal information expressed within a Giving Group context is submitted by the discretion of the participant, we are not responsible for the invasion of or transmission of your personal information among other Giving Group members. In joining a Giving Group, members are thereby committing to adhering to the guidelines laid out by MEDA. However, we cannot control whether group members will adhere to the Giving Group guidelines and therefore we are not to be held responsible nor can we guarantee that your personal information will only remain within the context of the Giving Group.
