Giving Groups

Joining a Giving Group is a great way to reach even more entrepreneurs around the world!

When you join a Giving Group you can combine your loans with others to make a bigger impact.

You can join any open group or start one of your own. Every dollar that group members loan will go toward the groups total on the MEDA Trust Giving Groups Listings. Keep lending to get your group to the top of the list!

 

Making a loan for your group is easy

  • Login
  • Select a loan that you wish to fund
  • use the Group Designation drop down menu to specify the group


You can also make a group your default designation. Simply select the option on the Group Details page.  

Group designated loans are just like personal loans, as the loan is repaid, the amount of repayment is returned to your portfolio so it can be reinvested in another loan. You can view of the loans you make, both personal and loans designated for Giving Groups, on your portfolio page.

When you join a GIving Group you will be able to all the loans made for that group from your groups details page. To see a list of your groups and access their details visit the My Giving Groups page under My portfolio.

You can also take a hands-off approach with your loans. As a Giving Group member, you can transfer funds to your group leader to designate to group loans on your behalf. This ensures your funds keep revolving and reaching as many people as possible!
