Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) has a 56-year history of creating business solutions to poverty in developing countries.

We walk alongside women and men as they pursue livelihoods that will lift them out of poverty. By helping them access the resources they need to build small businesses, they can lead their families and communities to a better, stronger future.

We believe in innovative and accountable international development. When we partner with women and men in communities struggling with poverty, we help them to take action to build better futures for themselves and their children.

MEDA is recognized for promoting women's economic participation in segregated societies. Most notably, MEDA has applied this approach to projects in Afghanistan and Pakistan, that are focused exclusively on economic development for women.
